Kramer - One of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies

A Saskatchewan company founded on farm equipment is now standing shoulder-to-shoulder with 49 other modern inspirational businesses after being selected as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies.
“This is such an incredible honour and recognition for us,” says Tim Kramer, President and third generation owner. “We are truly humbled by our inclusion on a list that includes so many other notable companies.”
Kramer credits his entire crew with reaching this important goal.
“It’s because of our people. Our employees, our customers, and even the suppliers who all help Kramer deliver customer-first service and strive for innovation in everything we do,” said Kramer.
“It is really great to see a Saskatchewan business that has continued to grow and prosper in good and bad times in this province, receive this well-deserved recognition.” John K. Aitken, FCA, Audit Partner in the Regina office of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Just one example of the innovative thinking at Kramer: employees on the shop floor must wear proper safety gear at all times, but sometimes goggles are misplaced, or gloves are lost. As a response to both the availability of proper gear and a way to track use, vending machines will be installed in the shop. Rather than stocking the vending machines with coffee or candy, employees simply insert their Kramer card and get what they need to keep working.
“That one was suggested by an employee,” says Tim Kramer. “Our employees drive many of the service improvements and innovations that keep our company moving forward.”
Kramer’s service proficiency is a testament to their long held mantra of excellence in support. “Kramer’s quality workmanship and vast in house capabilities are factors that encourage customers to transport equipment for repair to a Kramer facility,” says operations manager Dwayne Fortney.
“Vertical integration…it’s a Kramer thing,” adds Tim Kramer. “We’re Kramer. We’re Caterpillar. We’re there when you need us.”
