 Kramer’s Used Equipment Division has many roles within the company – more than just selling used equipment. The Used Equipment Division manages the maintenance and service of New and Used Cat Rental Fleet which together include approximately 250 units. With the addition of a Rental Fleet Service Co-ordinator to help manage the rental fleets, Kramer has been able to provide a higher level of service to our customers by processing rental returns more efficiently and making rental units more readily available to our customers. The Kramer Used Equipment/ International Sales Division have the responsibility of marketing Kramer’s surplus used inventory. With 50+ Motor Grader trades a year, International Sales strives to keep inventory from becoming stagnant and has been very successful in marketing packages of machines to our valued international customers.  International Sales has moved machine packages to Caterpillar Redistribution Services Inc. Many machines have also gone to South Africa, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates as well as many destinations into the USA, Mexico and out of territory customers in Canada. Not only have we provided our international customers with product they need, but networking with these people has opened doors for Kramer. Procuring machines required for our local market such as 730 ADT trucks from South Africa, and 631E Tractor Scrapers from Manila in the Philippines. Requirements for Kumtor Operating Company in Kyrgyzstan in the supply of multiple 5130B Front Shovel excavators and D10R Track Type Tractors has also been a very successful highlight for the Kramer Used Equipment Division.
The Used Equipment Division specialises in locating machines through the Caterpillar Used Equipment network and other sources. In-territory customers can qualify their requirements through their local sales representatives and sales manager who in turn will request the Used Equipment Division to locate machines within the year, hour and price range parameters as required by the customer.  Another service the Used Equipment Division provides to our customers is locating core machines for Kramer Klassic power train overhaul. The Used Equipment Division has been very successful in locating core units for rebuild purposes and will continue to offer this option to our valued customers. To date the core rebuild program has included 980C-F Wheel Loaders, 988F Wheel Loaders, 631E Tractor Scrapers, 637E Tractor Scrapers, D10N and D10R Track Type Tractors, representing over 25 units in recent years.
